snapshots of mexico, literal and figurative

The cubrebocas aren’t the only recent trend popping up in Mexico City.  This song (which you should recognize) has been all over the place since being used in Rudo y Cursi, starring Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal.  The song is both awesome and totally ridiculous, and the video (with Garcia Bernal) only goes to further that point.

This might even top “Mi Pobre Corazon” (i.e. “Achey Breaky Heart”) as the best, most ridiculous remake of an English song in Spanish.

In other news, I’m in Jalapa/Xalapa (home of the Jalapeno!) for a few days.  Another round of 35mm photos will be coming by the end of the week.
