Waiting for the Lancha in Jamay

First stop on last week’s tour of Jalisco:  Jamay, on the shores of Lake Chapala.  Despite being only 20 miles or so along the shore from what is likely the largest American community in Mexico, the town is very traditional and (judging by the curious looks I recieved) rarely, if ever, sees non-Mexicans pass through.

(Note – All these shots are from a $5 camera–film and battery included–that I bought at Bodega Aurrera, and hence aren’t exactly high quality.  Still, I really can’t complain as I figured the camera only had about a 50% chance of working at all.)
