One of many

There’s a surprising amount of abandoned buildings in central Mexico city, from colonial houses to entire highrises.  You’d think many of them would be quickly redeveloped given the continual growth of the city, but even in some of the nicest parts of the city bricked up buildings sit empty.  I’m not sure how much of the abandonment is due to the 1985 earthquake, but I have to assume it played a role.   Perhaps in the future these empty shells will be repaired or replaced to house the ever-increasing population.
